Odorless due to the Egger Vortex pumps
Two of the four delivered pumps are installed in the pumping stations currently under construction. These are two major pumping stations, which are expected to start up in 2018 in the course of the construction of the new Emscher sewer. The pumping stations are each composed of four separated suction chambers which are in use, depending on demand (inflow). To avoid deposits and unpleasant odors, the Egger Vortex pumps have to evacuate the unused chambers (emptying) and to pump the solids-laden wastewater back to the headworks.
