Inauguration of the Chiemsee Sewage and Water Board Prien Stock-North pump station

The Chiemsee Sewage and Water Board, in cooperation with the municipality of Prien am Chiemsee, has built an entirely new pumping station. This step was taken to provide relief to the Prien Stock pump station, which is more than 50 years old and chronically overloaded due to urban expansion. Since 2014, an Egger pump has been in use here too, to support the existing pumps of the old pumping station. With the inauguration of the new pump station Prien Stock-North, floods such as Prien-Stock experienced in 2013, should be a thing of the past. For this pump station, Egger delivered four dry-mounted Turo® vortex pumps with their patented TA sewage impellers for difficult, blockage-prone raw sewage. The two dry-weather pumps are designed for 20 l/s of raw sewage at 2.1 bar, the two rain pumps for up to 65 l/s of raw sewage at 2 bar. All the pumps can, of course, be frequency-controlled.

Investment in the new pump station in Prien-Stock North amounted to 1.9 million euros. Among those present for the inauguration were the following:  The mayor, Mr. Jürgen Seifert (Prien); Mr. Josef Mayer (Rimsting and AUV association chairman); Mr. Georg Schützinger (Grabenstätt); Mr. Anton Schmuck (managing director of the engineering office Dippold + Gerold); Mr. Michael Feßler (owner of hotels and Chiemsee navigation); Mr. Thomas Weimann (Chiemsee Sewage and Water Board branch manager); Mr. Christian Freund (BL-KA Stiedering) with employees; and members of the press, a photographer, and supplying companies, among them project engineer Thomas Reuter from Egger-Pumps in Munich. Pictured are Mayor Jürgen Seifert (Prien), Mr. Josef Mayer (Rimsting and AUV association chairman), and Mr. Georg Schützinger (Grabenstätt).
